Highpower Management System Enterprise (HMS)

The Highpower Management System is our SQL-based access control management software designed for high performance and scalability. It is authored and maintained by our Connecticut-based engineering department and is designed for deployment by IT departments and customers that require minimum wiring requirements.

Key Features:

Compatible with the Highpower 8000 Power-Over-Ethernet Two-door Access Controller, STA Series Version 8 readers, Ethernet Smart Series J Readers, Model 901 Fingerprint Reader and the new Highpower 3500 Access Point.
Client-Server based technology allows multiple computers managing the same access control system.
Can handle virtually unlimited number of door controllers or readers.
Virtually unlimited number of card holders with up to 10,000 card holders per door with some card formats.
Real-Time card activity logging.
HMS Server runs as a Windows Service to log transactions even when the client software is not running.
Email Alerts - HMS can send emails notifying that a particular card or card holder has accessed the system.
Hyper-Syncing - HMS can synchronize with multiple controllers simultaneously
(up to 32,000 units) dramatically cutting down the time to update systems with many 8000 panels.
Microsoft Excel spreadsheet data import.
Redesigned Crystal Reports for data export to many formats.
Re-optimized SQL code speeds up transactions with the Microsoft SQL database.
Uses TCP/IP based Microsoft .NET Remoting for fast client transactions with the HMS Server.
Tested to run on 32 & 64 bit Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.

Version Features Summary

Version 3.7 has new support for the Smart Series J readers and new Highpower Model 3500 Access Point along with improvements to the 901 Fingerprint Reader module.

Version 3.6 has a new reports facility and has custom data fields that can be renamed.

Version 3.5 has faster communications between client and server for use over remote networks.

Version 3.4 has support for RS232 serial communications, manual network disconnect, elimination of ping process for more reliable and efficient server communications.

Version 3.3 has bug fixes, lower client and server loads, and added tolerance for busy networks.

Version 3.2 has faster synchronization with extremely low processor utilization.

Version 3.1 is a service release.

Version 3.0 introduces support for 901 Fingerprint reader and faster operation.

Version 2.9 features card expiration dates.

Version 2.8 has new support for STA stand-alone card readers.

Version 2.7 has new webcam support in cardholders screen.

Upgrade-In-Place

Due to underlying architectural changes in Version 3.6, there is no upgrade-in-place package available from previous versions. If you wish to upgrade, please uninstall previous versions of HMS Server and HMS Client on all machines in your system. This uninstall will not affect your SQL database.

Current firmware number is V8.0 (Jan 11, 2008) for STA readers compatible with HMS.

901 Fingerprint Firmware:
Current firmware number is V1.59 (April 26, 2010) for 901 readers compatible with HMS.
